Description:
Object of this assignment: Lot 1: Measuring and digitizing the road surface quality on the territory of the merged municipality of Herent. This assignment includes: • Measuring the roadway (x, y and z) with great accuracy; • Digitization of the measuring and creating a height map of the road surface; • Standardize the data, for example using the “International roughness index”; • Creating georeferenced HD images; • Making the above data compatible for Geoportal. Explanation: The municipality of Herent is looking for an alternative way to determine the road surface quality of Herent's roads. We want to map the profile of the road based on a detailed measurement, with high resolution mapping, digitizing and visualizing in order to map the deviations as accurately as possible. This gives us as a municipality the opportunity to analyze the various streets via our own GIS application and to display them directly to map overall quality and/or comfort. By planning maintenance in a targeted manner based on objective data, efficiency and safety for the citizen improves. These specifications provide for carrying out 180 km of road surface measurement in Herent. The quantities in the inventory (VH) are an estimate of the measurements to be carried out for the above-mentioned streets.
