• With this survey, C-smart wants to collect input from market players in order to develop one or more supporting government contracts in line with the market. The primary objective is to gain insight into the range of typical GIS applications for local applications management and to the extent to which those applications connect to the “classic” administrative back office. C-smart mainly wants to understand what process support suppliers specifically offer, what dependencies and integrations are involved, and what is necessary to avoid double management of data and fragmentation of work processes. C-smart also wants to gain insight into what is supplied as standard, what requires configuration and what needs to be developed on a project basis. C-smart also wants to test which one approaches and delivery models are realistic and affordable for local authorities today, and under what conditions they remain manageable in the longer term. C-smart wants to better understand how a basic geo-platform, combined with a modular one application menu and associated services such as migration, integration/ETL, adoption and support, is best set up and operated in a context with varying maturity and scale. C-smart wants to gain explicit insight into the most important ones preconditions and price drivers that enable economies of scale without locking governments into one choice.
