- MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW EHEALTH CONNECTORS MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW EHEALTH CONNECTORS. Explanation: The more than 6,000 White-Yellow Cross nurses all have a tablet computer with 4G connection. The tablet runs software that is developed in-house. This software is called the Electronic Nursing File (EVD). The EVD offers the following functionalities to home nurses: Intake of a new patient (drafting a file, input basic data) Consultation and management (round) planning Consult and manage concerns to be implemented Registration parameters, observations, scales, ... Registration of prescriptions Communication with fellow nurses + back office colleagues Communication with the patient, informal caregiver, treating physician, other healthcare providers, Management of specific files such as maternity care, wound care, diabetes, medication, ... … The information in and out of the EVD is synchronized with a back office application (consists of databases + an application) that is used by the WGK employees in the back office. In concrete terms, this concerns the various support services working in regional offices spread across Flanders. From the EVD and from the back office it is necessary to connect to various external services. This 'connection' typically runs via secure web services through which information is sent to government systems...
