Description:
The city of Leuven launched in 2021, together with six neighboring municipalities (Bierbeek, Holsbeek, Lubbeek, Rotselaar, Haacht, Oud-Heverlee), a digital delivery or distribution platform for package shipments from local traders on the territory of Leuven and neighboring municipalities. The intention is toTo grow, both in width, this is in geographical scope (at least Mechelen and Diest are added) and in depth, this is on market penetration. This public contract aims to appoint a partner who on the one hand is responsible for supporting services in preparation forThe logistics implementation and on the other hand the operational implementation of the shipments generated by the Wij.Leveren distribution platform. The Geographical Zone Leuven has currently been expanded with the neighboring municipalities Haacht, Rotselaar, Holsbeek, Lubbeek, Bierbeek and Oud-Heverlee. It isIt is possible that this zone will be further expanded with the neighboring municipalities of Herent and Bertem during the term of the agreement. The municipalities of Mechelen and Diest (without neighboring municipalities) also belong to the geographical area that will be served by Wij.Lever. Mechelen is not yet in practiceStarted, this is planned in the course of 2025.
