Life Narma B2: Construction of constructed wetland Grote Calie
The object of this assignment is the construction, design and management of a constructed wetland along the Grote Calie in Turnhout. The constructed wetland consists of a sludge catch and a ground level reduction of two bank plots along the watercourse with a watercourse and paved strip, according to a proposed design. The Wetland is set up immediately after the construction with marsh plants and provided with freeel protection. The management in the following three years is also part of the assignment. This assignment is part of the Life Narma project, in which 7 partners test some nature -based remediation techniques on metal -contaminated water bottoms. The Constructed Wetland is one of these innovative techniques to tackle the spreading risk of chromium contamination in the water bottom of the Great Calie.
