- The object of this assignment is to provide legal support to, among others, the internal working group 'Policy and Regulation' of OVAM, in the context of the evaluation of the Soil Decree of 27 October 2006 (hereinafter 'Soil Decree') and the resulting following changes to the current Flemish soil regulations and soil policy based on, among other things, the conclusions of the expert committee (final report of August 21, 2024 'Evaluation of the Soil Decree, Soil Remediation, Soil Management, on the way to soil care in 4D'), own insights and insights of the various stakeholders, the European Soil Monitoring Law, new developments, etc. The contractor participates, among other things, in periodic consultation moments of the working group(s), provides advice on possible changes to the current Flemish soil regulations based on policy choices that are made, carries out preparatory legal study work on soil regulations and soil policy (also taking into account other branches of law such as civil law, European law, enforcement, ....) and has a supporting legal role during the legislative process of the planned changes to soil regulations.
