- Havenwereld vzw is an initiative of the Province of Antwerp and Port of Antwerp-Bruges and aims to introduce visitors, schools and young people to the port of today and tomorrow in an interactive and accessible way. Opening in December 2026 Havenwereld a new port experience center on the Dry Docks site in Antwerp. This unique center combines the industrial character of the historic site with contemporary architecture and offers space for educational activities, workshops and a immersive experience space. Every year, Havenwereld expects to receive approximately 54,000 visitors, including approximately 24,000 students (mainly secondary education) and 30,000 recreational visitors. The operation is aimed at a broad audience, with special ones attention to young people and educational groups. Within this port experience center, a workshop space and a picnic area will be set up for educational activities and school visits.
