IVBO - Rental boilers
IVBO is the inter -municipal partnership for waste removal and processing in Bruges and Ommeland. IVBO's assignment consists of the selective collection and processing of household waste and industrial waste from Bruges and Ommeland. IVBO has a power plant, located in Pathoekeeweg 41 in Bruges, where 200 Kton household waste is converted into electricity and heat every year. The heat has been distributed to companies and buildings since 1982. A number of customers have their own backup boilers, to guarantee heat supply in periods of production stop at IVBO or problems with heat distribution. A number of customers are also considering removing the existing old backup boilers and not to replace it anymore. IVBO wishes to further increase the reliability of the heat supply by setting up a service with rental boilers with specific customers without their own backup installation. These boilers can be used for two purposes: 1. To bridge planned stops or maintenance works (the timing of this is known at least one month in advance) 2.
