Description:
Drawing up an integrated climate-robust development vision through, among other things, design research, resulting in an action program for the redevelopment of Moelingen. The passage of the Berwijn is one of the key projects defined in the VMM's Berwijn Master Plan. Er On the one hand, the project will focus on individual protection of existing homes and a number of location-specific interventions, but through this assignment work will also be done on a longer-term vision for a climate-robust design of Moelingen. Attention is paid to the desired level of protection (safety risk), the reconstruction of public and private space, but also to promote flooding dynamics in the surrounding open space. The Berwijn banks are being radically redesigned based on the history of the floods (see appendix). This development has an influence on the living environment of all residents. The current lack of an integrated climate-robust development vision, within which internal and external initiatives are framed and weighed against each other, results in a loss of quality for the future image of the village - both in municipal policy, as well as with residents and initiators. In order to form a more qualitative, future-oriented whole, an integrated climate-robust development vision is drawn up through design research with an action program via this service assignment.
