Description:
This assignment is part of the realization of Hydrobear, an installation for the design and testing of a hydrostatic bearing. The assignment includes the fabrication and assembly of pipes, pipe components, insulation, support structures, platforms and stairs. The contracting authority already has fairly detailed drawings (designs), but it is of great (essential) importance that the tenderer has the necessary expertise (engineers) to test these designs in practice.
The execution of this assignment forms the basis for obtaining the technology for qualification (dynamic, thermo-hydraulic, material issues) of hydrostatic bearings for the needs of the SMR-LFR project and other nuclear projects using forced circulation of lead coolant by means of rotodynamic mechanical pumps.
