• This assignment consists of the provision of services in the field of technical inspections of products, materials and assemblies manufactured in factories or workshops, prior to their implementation on construction sites, carried out on behalf of NMBS. “Construction works” means construction work and new construction, extension or renovation works of buildings or platforms in the Belgian railway domain, excluding the railway infrastructure. “Technical inspection services” is the main focus for technical inspection of the following products, materials and assemblies: • Structural steel • Aluminum products and aluminum alloys • Anti-corrosion systems • Poured concrete, reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete • Mixed structures (steel-concrete) • Supporting elements for structures • Expansion joints • Electrical equipment (signs, etc.) The checks must be based on the results of test tests (material resistances, corrosion, etc.) made on test piece or sample if necessary. The technical inspections are carried out on productions that are mainly manufactured in the European Economic Area. However, productions made outside the European Economic Area are still possible.
