- The City of Antwerp is expanding its existing services for the source collection of asbestos cement applications with a temporary and additional project that focuses on the removal of asbestos -containing pipe insulation by private individuals. This impulse project is fully subsidized by OVAM and offers a unique opportunity to support families extra in the safe removal of asbestos -containing pipe insulation. This project is only intended for private individuals. Self -employed persons, schools, associations, ... cannot claim these subsidies. This assignment is part of the process for the removal of asbestos -containing pipe insulation and consists of: • Taking samples of asbestos suspected pipe insulation among private individuals. At the request of the contracting authority, the asbestos expert will carry out sampling of presumably asbestos -containing leadership insulation among private individuals. • Performing random checks of asbestos removal sites that are carried out in accordance with the above inventory.
