- A flexible threshold is a traffic obstacle that is specially designed to respond flexibly to the load on vehicles, with the aim of slowing down normal traffic. A flexible threshold looks like a normal threshold, but has a flexible driving plate. For heavy traffic such as buses, Trucks and fire trucks make the driving plate flat, while for light traffic acts like a normal threshold. In order to achieve road safety measures, the city of Antwerp is looking for a supplier who is the flexible speed bumps, as described in the technical provisions, can deliver, install and maintain.
