Description:
Thomas More Kempen, and more specifically the Mobilab & Care centre of expertise, is involved in a range of projects that focus on the design, evaluation and implementation of both commercially available exoskeletons and in house developed prototypes. Mobilab & Care plans to integrate series elastic actuators (SEA) into several of their exoskeleton prototypes. The contract involves supplying compact SEAs with an integrated motor controller, and matlab application programming interface (API), that meet industry standards for performance and reliability. The contract also includes the supply of any required additional hardware (e.g. mechanical components for mounting, additional electronic components such as IO cards, signal/media convertors, safety equipment, …) that all specifically interface with the hardware and communicate over the API, as well as all associated support services.
