In 2018, a pre- and post-analytical track was put into use in the core lab of Ghent University Hospital (Abbott Accelerator a3600).
More than 80% of routine chemistry (electrolytes, markers for evaluating liver and kidney function, etc.) and immunochemistry (e.g. hormonology, infectious serology, tumarkers, heart markers, infectious serology, ...) analyses, as well as routine hematology (complete blood count and differentiation) and coagulation analyzes (aPTT, PT, D-dimers, fibrinogen and anti-Xa) are automatically processed via this track.
Via this command lists the current devices for itperforming routine chemistry and immunochemistry analyses, the reagents for carrying out the analyzes are also supplied and we wish to update/upgrade the current track system (Abbott Accelerator A3600) so that it can continue to function optimally for another ten years.
