- Through this assignment, the contracting authority wishes to conclude a framework agreement for itself and the OLV Hospital Waregem for the rent and maintenance of flat linen and professional clothing.
More specifically, the assignment with regard to Maria Middelares relates to:
-Rent and Maintenance flat linen; and
-Rental and maintenance of professional clothing.
For OLV Hospital Waregem, the assignment relates to:
-Rental and maintenance flat linen; -Maintenance (already purchased) professional clothing.
The assignment also includes delivery, collection, distribution, packaging, repair, washing, ironing, ... of all linen and professional clothing for the good daily functioning of the hospitals for a period of:
-For Maria Middelares: 48 months with the possibility to tacitly extended the framework agreement by 4 years.
-For OLV Hospital Waregem: 38 months with the Possibility to tacitly extended the framework agreement twice by 2 years.
The term of the framework agreement exceeds the 48 -month limit.
This exceedance is justified to be able to at all times the continuity of the services of the hospitals to guarantee.
After all, the transition phase between 2 assignments is quite complex and entails the risk that the delivery of linen and professional clothing will be disturbed, which would have a negative impact on the functioning of the hospital and on quality and patient care.
