- The Agency for Nature and Forests (ANB) manages significant areas of grasslands, heathlands, forests and parks for the Flemish Government. Mowing management is applied annually to some of these grasslands. On heathland, the vegetation is being reduced or rejuvenated, with the upper growthThis part of the vegetation is removed. Sometimes the litter layer is removed in the form of sods. In forests, open spaces and paths are mowed and cleared of plants. Parks receive horticultural maintenance. These management works on grasslands release natural grass cuttings; the other management works, whether or not of a mixed nature, generate mixed green waste; that must be removed and processed. To this end, the ANB is looking for processing companies to collect and process this grass clippings and green waste.
