Framework agreement for the purchase of electricity (EMUS) and self-propelled carriers (BEMUS).
The National Society of Belgian Railways (SNCB) wishes to conclude a framework agreement for the design, production and supply of EMUS (Electrical Multiple Unit) and Bemus (Battery Electric Multiple Unit). It is a framework agreement for a fleet of maximum 170,000 seats. These “AM30” type self -commissioners will be used for the exploitation of suburban/local (S/L) and intercity lines (CI) and this both with high capacity configurations and with low capacity configurations. For the sake of profitability and standardization, the SNCB chooses to use the same EMU platform (B) for the different types of exploitation on which the auto will be used.
