Framework agreement project automation fine distribution pharmacy through a maximum decentralized solution with picking robots per department.
I.1.2 Vision for pharmaceutical distribution
The contracting authority will open a new pharmacy for the production and distribution of medicines. This pharmacy will provide the contracting authority with commercially available medications and preparations.
The contracting authority has determined the desired total concept for future pharmaceutical distribution in a vision statement. The concept was formed taking into account:
-Need for increased flexibility compared to today for delivery of patient-specific medication in the context of
oIncreased variability in medication management
oShortened length of stay for resident patients
oLimiting the number of returns to the pharmacy
-Need to be 100% scannable medication, including lot number, for registration of administration using to enable bedside scanning (in accordance with KB 30/9/2020, BS 24/12/2020)
oThis produces a strong increase in unit dose (UD) reconditioning activities
oThe contracting authority wants medication that is already UD scannable by the industry delivered, no longer needs to be UD reconditioned to be compatible with the UD picking robots.
oThe contracting authority has the ambition to UD recondition the goods that are not UD scannable supplied by the industry itself.
