With this framework agreement, the city of Ghent wishes to take out a collective hospitalization insurance for around 8700 employees (main insured) and 5500 secondary insured persons and pensioners from at least the city of Ghent, OCMW Ghent, autonomous municipal company (AGB) Arts and Design, autonomous municipal company (AGB) Heritage and autonomous care institution AZ Jan Palfijn. One and the same policy will be concluded for these entities. The intention of the city of Ghent is with this framework agreement: 1) for the approximately 8700 employees (the main insured) of the city of Ghent, OCMW Ghent, AGB Arts and Design, AGB Heritage and autonomous care institution AZ Jan Palfijn to take out a hospitalization insurance policy. This category also includes former personnel members who are retired on the date of entry into force of the policy as well as their ancillary insured persons (i.e. spouses/life partners and children); These remain collectively connected 2) to the main insured persons who are retired after the policy entry into force, to offer the possibility to continue the hospitalization insurance taken out at their own expense. Pursuant to retirement these are Main insured persons then cousins. 3) To the spouses/life partners and children (secondary insured) who meet certain criteria to offer the possibility to join this policy at their own expense.
