- As part of this assignment, BAC intends to replace the current Flight Information Display System (FIDS) software, which was developed internally, with a contemporary, market-based and progressive solution. With this assignment, BAC aims for a FIDS to select a supplier responsible for the delivery, implementation, operational management and maintenance of the FIDS solution. The selected supplier is expected to act as a strategic partner and be responsible for end to end the complete life cycle of the FIDS product. The intended form of collaboration should enable BAC to: • respond flexibly and agile to specific business needs, including configurations and extensions tailored to BAC, including dynamic signaling and information display of public transport; • have sufficient capacity, expertise and continuity, without dependence on BAC's internal development resources; • to ensure that the FIDS product continuously evolves in line with relevant market developments, regulations and technological innovations. The proposed solution must be scalable, future-oriented and demonstrably operational at comparable airports, and must contribute to a sustainable, stable and high-performance FIDS environment for BAC.
