Description:
The be-NATURE project within the former coal washing plants 1 and 3 is an innovative and ambitious redevelopment project that transforms the imposing coal washing plants of the former mining site in Beringen into an experience project where nature, water and industrial heritage come together. This as belowpart of the be-MINE site in Beringen where nv be-MINE has appointed nv LRM as agent to act as principal on its behalf (hereinafter "Project"). With the coal washing complex,
be-MINE has a piece of industrial heritage that is unique in Flanders, Belgium and themlfs Europe. At no other mining site was the heart of the production process preserved. Within be-NATURE, the imposing coal washing plants 1 and 3 are partly pitted, partly restored and partly repurposed.
The Project includes various demolition and restoration works within the building, but also includesin addition to infrastructure and landscape construction at the level of the track park.
