Description:
The aim is to carry out an analysis of the nutrient policy in a number of selected European member states or regions with a similar nutrient problem such as Flanders: Wallonia, the Netherlands, Denmark, Bretagne and North Rhine-Westphalia. The research will concentrate on identifying efficient and effective strategies, practices and instruments that can be applied in Flanders to tackle the challenges in the field of nutrient management. The ultimate goal of this research is to make recommendations for manure policy in Flanders, based on the practices studied, experiences and future strategies in the selected regions. These recommendations will be aimed at promoting sustainable manure management, reducing nutrient losses and stimulating efficient and effective implementation of manure policy measures, taking into account the specific context and challenges of Flanders.
