Description:
The purpose of this assignment is to realize ecohydrological restoration measures within the pond complex in the nature reserve 'Grootbroek' of the Agency for Nature and Forests (ANB), located in the municipality of Sint-Agatha-Rode, in the province Flemish Brabant. These recovery measures are financed by the Flemish government with Blue Deal resources. This assignment concerns the Dijle valley, which plays an important role upstream of Leuven in water management, in particular protecting the city of Leuven against flooding and achieving ecological objectives in watercourse and valley. The planned measures are mainly aimed at achieving the ecological objectives (restoration of open swamp landscape from ponds) of the area. The assignment contains both a basic assignment (fixed part) and a conditional part. The conditional part comes into effect if the proposed soil codes in items 33, 34 and 35 are concluded as 991 soil code according to additional analyzes during implementation (see further in these specifications).
