- The City of Bruges wants to facilitate the development of large solar installations to achieve the objectives regarding renewable solar energy in the Strategic Energy and Climate Plan (SEKP) of the City of Bruges. At the same time we see that the importance of integrated solar installations is growing due to an imbalance between supply and demand, resulting in a flexible market with varying prices. Integrated solar energy projects can also use batteries, direct lines and charging stations in addition to PV cells This is an optimization to use the generated energy as efficiently and locally as possible. The City of Bruges wants to facilitate the development of large solar installations in order to achieve the objectives regarding renewable solar energy in the city climate plan of the City of Bruges. In practice, we currently see a number of obstacles in the development of large solar installations in both the industrial and tertiary sectors. To bridge this gap, the City of Bruges is looking for an energy broker specialized in solar energy. The tenderer coordinates the integration of photovoltaic cells, batteries, control systems and any charging stations with the actual consumption of an existing site and the explicit wishes of the users/owners.
