Description : The eGovernment benchmark exercise aims to obtain a quantitative overview of the status of modernisation of the public sector in a set of relevant countries and disseminate such overview to interested stakeholders and to the public in general. In line with the action plan 2016-2020 and towards supporting the new action plan that will be developed soon, the eGovernment Benchmark aims to assess the provision and implementation of several eGovernment principles (e.g. digital by default, once only principle, inclusiveness and accessibility, openness and transparency, usability, cross-border by default, interoperability by default, trustworthiness and security).
The study will support monitoring innovation in the public sector, namely by:
(i) executing the collection of data for 2022 eGovernment benchmark; and
(ii) analysing the state of play of eGovernment provision across EU countries through the eGovernment benchmark reports and factsheets per country.
