- SCK CEN wishes to buy a dynamic cross -flow filtration device to filter metal hydroxides (mainly iron, nickel and chrome) containing radioactive effluents, in order to concentrate most of the radioactivity in the solid phase. The volume of the batch of the effluents to be treated is approximately 2m³. The solid final concentration desired is around 8WT%. The dynamic cross -flow filtration device will be integrated into a processing process skid, and the concentrate will be conditioned in a cement matrix. The filtrate will be sent to a water processing unit. The device will be part of our future mobile MEDOC+global decontamination unit, which will take care of the decontamination of lots of stainless steel elements.
