Description:
The need for suitable space for the economy is essential. In preparation for the Space Pact 2040, a space requirement estimate for Limburg has been drawn up by Idea Consult. This shows that sufficient space for activity must be maintained and a strategic offering is necessary. This is recently also demonstrated through the paper "Room to undertake" by VOKA and the action plan "Room for activity" from the Flemish government (23 May 2025). Together with the POM, a report has been drawn up to determine priority focus areas for regional business parks. The deputation decided about this in the deputation meeting of June 18, 2025 about the need to actively offer, with a priority focus on Bree, Zonhoven and Bilzen-Hoeselt and to start area studies on this.
