- The DISTRIBUTION CONTRACT FM operations includes: the construction, operation, monitoring and maintenance of 5 national FM networks and accessories. The operation of these FM networks includes the following aspects: oFM transmitting installations, with redundancy mechanisms; oStereo and RDS multiplexing; oRDS data routing and distribution; oTransmission network for connecting transmission locations with the locations where the VRT offers the audio and data signals; oPylons and antenna installations with associated filters/combiners for 6 secondary installation points (Antwerp, Brussels, Brussegem, Diest, Ghent and Sint-Niklaas); o Facility support necessary for operations (housing of installations, power supplies, HVAC, access control, network infrastructure, ...); oMonitoring, maintenance and incident handling. VRT has 32 FM frequencies in Flanders and Brussels, spread over 11 installation points.
