- The purpose of this project is the dismantling of beaver dams and maintenance work on provincial waterways. In addition, this project includes the dismantling of beaver dams and maintenance work on communal waterways for beavers. following municipalities: Attert, Bastogne, Bouillon, Gouvy, Herbeumont, La Roche-en-Ardenne, Léglise, Marche-en-Famenne, Messancy, Neufchâteau, Tintigny, Vielsam. It refers to the QUALIROUTE CCT. This involves maintenance work and small repairs such as as described in the Water Code (Title V: watercourses). The works are spread across the territory of the Province of Luxembourg. DESCRIPTION OF THE EXISTING SITUATION AND OBSERVED DEFECTS: Hydraulic problems induced by the presence of dams beavers on provincial waterways and may pose a risk to people and property. Hydraulic problems following the presence of various limiting factors: • insufficient size of streams; • obstacles to flow: landings and ice jams; • riparian forest: threatening trees (watercourse size, power line, etc.); JUSTIFICATION FOR THE INVESTMENT: Ensure the maintenance of provincial watercourses in accordance with the Water Code (Title V: watercourses).
