- The IMIO Intercommunale aims to promote and coordinate the pooling of business solutions, products and services for local authorities.
iMio is structured around three main activities:
●Producing Open source software meeting the needs of authorities local. THEOpen source model allows IMIO to have control of the tools and to have the choice of service provider for carrying out developments. Part of the developments can also be carried out internally, which guarantees greater autonomy of action;
●Purchase solutions from a purchasing center/market to allow municipalities to benefit from market solutions at a lower cost and offer a support service for their use and development;
●Formalize the work processes of local authorities (organizational).
The proposed philosophy remains that of the pooling ofbased on "bottom-up" logic and shared efforts to reduce costs for members, while producing solutions that are constantly better adapted to the realities of local authorities, since they are the ones who produce them or have them produced. It is essential that bidders adhereto this mode of operation in order to guarantee massive adoption of the project thanks to the functional adequacy existing between the reality of technical services and their IT tools.
