• The design (Design), construction (Build) and maintenance (Maintain) of a new infrastructure ("DEF tower") to support the Command & Control of the mine hunters and the Anti-Submarine War...
  The current government contract concerns design, construction and maintenance (Maintain) of a new infrastructure ("DEF tower") to support the Command & Control of the mine hunters and the Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigates (ASWF) at the Zeebrugge Naval Base. The "DEF Tower" project will replace the existing outdated infrastructure and several existing ones group functionalities and bring them together in a new infrastructure. The project includes: • Demolition of the existing infrastructure • Temporary kitchen infrastructure so that the naval base can have a working kitchen at all times during construction work • Secure operational zone for the operational planning of the ships, the preparation of shipments and (de)briefing rooms. • Construction of a new refectory, industrial kitchen and food storage (fresh and dry). • Construction of new administrative premises for the Navy staff and provision of all administrative support services (offices, meeting rooms, changing rooms, showers, etc.) • Exterior design, parking and fencing including security installations (intrusion detection, alarm, etc.) The development of the assignment must take into account the applicable urban planning and environmental regulations. The project will be carried out on the basis of a Design, Build & Maintain assignment. After the Design & Build phase, a 'maintenance and operation' phase starts of 10 years and additional cancellable periods period...
