- The demolition of a number of structures in Houthalen-Helchteren, more specifically the dismantling of a former biogas plant. All materials and/or waste released during demolition as well as the materials and/or waste lying on the plot are also removed and processed properly. The Agency for Nature and Forests regularly purchases land. There are often buildings on these lands (stables, cages, chalets and the like) and because these buildings cannot serve a function within the ANB, opted for demolition. There are also buildings that have lost their function. These are more of a cost than a revenue for the agency and demolition is also opted for here. The constructions that occur within this specification are parts of a decommissioned biogas plant, partly filled with digestate from the fermentation process. In addition to the fact that this installation hinders further nature development, the presence of this digestate is also a possible one future contaminant of this site, requiring complete and proper disposal. Attached to these specifications you will find a completed sheet with the necessary information, asbestos inventories, demolition follow-up plans as well as the declaration of conformity for Tracimat thereof, and the safety and health plan.
