In the existing building of water extraction "De Westhoek" a new water treatment installation must be installed. The present assignmentconcerns "delivering and installing a water treatment installation based on membrane filtration for treatment of WWTP Effluent to drinking water and for the artificial supplement of the groundwater in the Oude Spoelgracht of Water extraction" De Westhoek "in De Panne", at the following address: Kerkstraat54, De Panne, Belgium. In WPC Torreele (Wulpen), Aquaduin has been treating the effluent from the WWTP Wulpen to infiltration water since 2002. The most important steps are ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. Biofouling prevention is based on dosagefrom sodium hypochlorite to forming monochloramines; The scaling prevention on the combination of pH correction and dosage of antiscalant. The infiltration water that is thus produced is infiltrated 2.5 km further in the St.-Andre dune water extraction. This happens partly in open ponds and partly inunderground infiltration crates.
