The "expansion atrium" in building H, Campus Diepenbeek is a large polyvalent space with a capacity of 100 to 200 people. On normal class days, Junior colleagues collect here to work together on a group project and (in the afternoon) you can enjoy lunch. But also other activitiesAre possible: for example, exams are taken or events are organized such as information sessions and/or network moments. During all activities that are above, it becomes clear that there is no ventilation/ventilation present in this space and that this is experienced as very uncomfortable,Certainly at events with a large and/or long-term occupancy rate, which means that the CO2 value exceeds the permitted 1000 ppm. The (operating) principles of theVentilation system were investigated and elaborated by the teachers of PXL-Green & Tech itself. The objective is to design a ventilation system that consists of two autonomously working air groups to ventilate both the expansion atrium and two adjacent classrooms. However at peak timesIf there is a large event, both air groups can collaborate where the full ventilation rate goes to the expansion atrium.
