AZ Sint-Lucas Brugge is today working on the realization of a building from the Master Plan of AZ Sint-Lucas, in particular the E-Block.
If everything goes according to plan, we will take it Building in September 2028 in use.
Simultaneously, certain services are re-oriented in the existing hospital building, in particular the former Cafeteria and kitchen space for a new surgical day hospital. The works start in October 2025 on condition that the environmental permit timely is obtained.
Only then, presumably in September 2028, does the surgical day hospital move to the new place.
As soon as the new day hospital is ready, the intention is to be the modular Build (at the back of the hospital) to replace an extension of the current operating theater with additional operating rooms and expansion of the CSA department.
We will submit a subsidy file to the Flemish Government (VIPA) for this and will first wait for approval.
The former Hospital pharmacy gets a new destination step by step. First the Biotechniek service and a dressing room for ladies are housed here. In a later phase, this space is integrated into the operating theater.
