- Description:
- The mission will take place as part of ten-year revision number 3 of the radioelement institute site. The IRE is required to carry out an in-depth reassessment of the safety of its site every 10 years (ten-year safety analysis). This exercise aims to verify that the company's installations, organization and safety culture remain compliant with the Belgian regulatory requirements in force. At the end of this reassessment, a report must identify: • The compliant aspects, • The deviations observed, which will give rise to improvement projects during the implementation phase. The purpose of this mission specifically concerns safety factor number 1: design of installations. The methodology phase has already been carried out by the IRE and the proposed mission will focus on the evaluation phase of safety factor number 1: the design of the installations. • Facilities and equipment linked to LEU production (XeMo I) • Facilities and equipment linked to iodine production (Procel) • The C12/C12B cells • The airlocks and interfaces of the cells • In Building B17 o The different cells of B17D (Bridge, Press) o The concrete cell of B17B o The premises where radioactive waste or nuclear materials are stored The systems of ventilation of B04 and B10 will also be included in the perimeter as well as the electrical safety installations.
