- Description:
- A pumping station must be built at the port of Antwerp (Salaadweg, 2180 Antwerp). The function of this pumping station will be to pump purified wastewater from the Merksem sewage treatment plant from the pseudo shaft to the Voorgracht. Transporting WWTP water between the apparent duct and the fore-moat via a pumping system is necessary to maintain a hydraulic separation between the apparent duct and the fore-moat. The purpose of the assignment is the construction of the pumping station Salaadweg including supply pipe that connects the false shaft with the Salaadweg pumping station and the effluent pipe that connects the Salaadweg pumping station with the fore-moat. The works consist of the following parts: - Creating a link between the false shaft and the pumping station. - Execution of civil works and electromechanical installation. - Creating a link between the pumping station and the Voorgracht. - The installation of a high-voltage cabin to provide electrical power to the station. - It construction of an access road.
