Description:
The assignment concerns the execution of all works for the construction of the logistics Hub Westerbegraafplaats and a youth room, located at Palinghuizen 143 in Ghent. The contractor will be responsible for the full realization of these projects, including the architectural works, technical Installations, environmental construction and compliance with all applicable regulations and quality requirements. The works will be carried out under the supervision and follow -up of the architect and engineering firms involved, as provided for in the prior study breach. Background of the logistics hub Westerbegraafplaats The Logistieke Hub is part of the wider project POD Logistics Housing of Groep Gent, which is aimed at optimizing urban logistics. The Hub Westerbegraafplaats is one of the six planned hubs that support the logistical support of land -bound services have to bring closer to the field. The hub will provide: - limited storage of goods - locations for commercial vehicles and workplaces - workplaces for personnel - sanitary and other necessary facilities The construction of this hub is a crucial element in the larger plan to to centralize logistics activities and to organize them more efficiently.
