Conceptual Hydraulic model City of Antwerp
The city of Antwerp wants i.s.m. Aquafin developing a tool that allows the drainage of Destad at different levels (district, neighborhood, street, square, etc.), analyze, simulate and design. This tool comprises (1) a calculation model that can be the water infrastructure of the city of Antwerp Simulation and (2) a workflow application that can manage GIS and other spatial data and that data canoe supply to the calculation model and then visualize and store the results. The application must use the data from the ArcGIS (ESRI) environment of Stadantwerpen and must be able to keep the results in the same environment. The tool is supposed to make use of a (newly to be developed) simplifying hydraulic model, in which the water infrastructure in the city is simplified to the essence and thumb -rise component. Today, the initiators have detailed hydraulic models (Infoworks in combination with). However, it is very labor -intensive and requires a lot of expertise and detailed data to use it.
