UHasselt wishes to purchase a cell culture lab, a specialized environment where cells (human, animal or plant) are grown outside their body (ex-vivo) under controlled conditions, using special nutrient media and incubators, to grow them. to study, analyze and use for research (e.g. drug testing, stem cell therapy). This includes techniques such as isolating cells, aseptic working, maintaining media and subculturing, often with equipment such as dishes, flasks, pipettes and incubators.
