Description:
In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is necessary to implement the federal test strategy in the German-speaking community professionally and practically.
For a laboratory diagnostic examination to clarify the suspicion of an acute infection with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, through the direct Virus detection from respiratory secretions, the RT-PCR test has been validated and is considered to be the most reliable method and thus the "standard" for diagnostics.
A service contract between the German-speaking community and a clinical laboratory is required after sample collectionof the RT-PCR tests, the analysis of the tests
and the transmission of the results by the clinical laboratory if the epidemiological situation requires renewed mass testing.
If necessary, the client creates an order form for the specific implementation of the serviceng and delivers it to the contractor.
The service contract provides for the possibility of expanding the subject to tests other than PCR tests for diagnosing infection with SARS-CoV-2.
