Since 2009, the Brussels-Capital Region has been developing a transition policy of the economy across the Employment-Environment Alliance, which aimed to create employment in the environmental sectors and then the Regional Program in Circular Economy which aimed to transform the environmental objectives into economic opportunities, anchor the Brussels economy in its territory and, finally, create employment. In July 2019, the Regional Policy Declaration of the current Government stated that the Government would initially ensure coordinated management of the Regional Program in Circular Economy, the Resource and Waste Management Plan, the Industrial Plan, By amplifying them.
