Description:
The Rest House of the Poor Sisters of Mons accommodates 115 residents, divided into 3 services. All of the current buildings house rooms and premises for community life and services provided to residents. Besides the 2 service residences, the Maison des Pauvres also offers a day care center welcoming 15 people. The Rest House of the Poor Sisters of Mons is made up of heterogeneous buildings of different constructions within a residential block in near the center of Mons. The buildings are composed as follows: -Building A located Rue de Bertaimont 22; -Building B located inside the block; -Building C located Rue de Bertaimont 24; -Building D located on the Place Nervienne side; - Buildings Community located inside the block; -Kitchen building located inside the island; -2 Serviced Residences located at Place Nervienne 10 and 11; -A chapel and its cloister located in the heart of the built complex; -A large wooded park. The current buildings only partially meet the standards in force. The project involves the demolition of buildings B, Community and Kitchen as well as the rehabilitation of building A. Building D being the most recent, it will be subject to a slight renovation and adaptation. structural allowing its integration into the new project.
