• Appointment of a designer for the preparation of a global vision and mobility study in the Markt-Kerkstraat-Kerkplein project zone and for the preparation of a design for the renovation of the sewerage and roads Markt and Kerkstraat The city of Lokeren wants the zone Renovate Market, Kerkstraat and Kerkplein and organize it in a future-oriented manner. In order to prepare this properly, it is necessary to appoint one design team that will develop the global vision, the mobility study and the design and implementation file for the roads and takes care of sewerage. The assignment includes the creation of one global vision for the entire project zone: Kerkplein, Kerkstraat and part of Markt. The design team develops a forward-looking vision statement for the entire project area, including attention to quality of life, accessibility, trade, school environment, (short-term) parking, greenery, water management and the integration of sewerage and utility lines. The city, together with the Province, is investigating whether to roll out a heating network in the city center is feasible. This study runs simultaneously with the 1st phase of the present assignment. The engineering office is responsible for integrating the conclusions in the further elaboration of part 3 of the assignment. A mobility study is being carried out in parallel, including analysis of the current parking and traffic situation and a study of traffic circulation in the wider area (see special provisions). In addition, the design team is responsible for the technical development of the road and sewerage works of the Markt and Kerkstraat (blue zone), including preliminary design, final design, permit application, specifications, bill of quantities, estimate and coordination with utility companies and involved authorities...
