- In 2012, a Brownfield Covenant 58 (BFC) was concluded between the Flemish Government, Renault Industrie Belgique nv, AZ Jan Portaels, PSR Brownfield developers nv, the city of Vilvoorde, the municipality of Machelen and OVAM, regarding the redevelopment of the CAT site into a mixed, qualitative and accessiblebar project. The covenant was approved by a municipal decision of 21 May 2012.
In 2015, an addendum to this Brownfield Covenant was concluded between the Flemish Government, Abies One nv as the new owner of the CAT site, AZ Jan Portaels, the city of Vilvoorde, the municipality of Machelen, De Lijn, DepaDepartment of the Environment and the OVAM. This addendum was approved by the municipal decision of June 29, 2015. This addendum to the Brownfield Covenant clarifies in article 1.1 the objective of the Brownfield project as follows: "the rapid development of the Sites (regardless of their location andstatus of the execution of the notarial deeds) into an urban, mixed, high-quality and accessible project (taking into account the master planning stated in Article 2), within which, among other things, a new hospital as well as economic functions can be implanted, always taking into accountet the already identified problems with regard to water, soil, spatial planning, access and high-voltage power lines, whereby the parties acknowledge that, in accordance with Article 9.5 of the Brownfield Covenant, a solution must be found for the identified problems, taking into account the burdens posed by... - Documents :
