- This services contract includes the appointment of an architectural team for the design and follow-up of the restoration works, the implementation of a new extension and the design and construction of the parking lot at the Waalborre Castle in Asse. The building is finished on a restoration of the exterior, including the roof, joinery and facades. A feasibility study in 2024 determined that the current extension must be demolished, moved and modernized. The aim of this is to enhance the heritage values of it castle to its full potential and at the same time the new extension must continue to support the current function as a brasserie. The design also provides for the compartmentalization of the ground floor, as well as a lift shaft and renovation the sanitary facilities. The planning and implementation of the works must be tailored to the current function of the castle: in concrete terms, this means that the brasserie remains open during the entire restoration period and it is not permitted to work with heavy to carry out noise impact or vibration during the opening hours of the restaurant.
