Description:
The assignment concerns a facade and terrace renovation of the Museum on the Stroom (MAS). The reason for the facade renovation is falling pieces of natural stone. Extensive preliminary research has been done on this. The facade renovation aims to do the poor (e) (placed) panels and more sustainable bondsdetect and replace. A complete control and assessment of each panel in the facade and ceilings including reporting are part of this assignment. The reason for the terrace renovation is blowing terrace tiles and cover stones. Research has shown that the wind resistance is insufficientis. This assignment contains the placement of an anchoring structure on which the terrace tiles are attached after renewing the flat roof structure. The cover stones on the roof terrace are also renewed. The glazed parapets from the terrace restaurant and roof terrace are removed and afterwardsReturned back. Both the facades and the terraces are cleaned and preventively treated against moss and algae growth. The ground floor is again provided with an anti-graffiti. The assignment also contains various examinations and checks of the existing condition, including: - The multiplex platesFrom the sandwich panels to the steel structure - the spuwers of the roof terrace The existing building has a concrete support structure up to and including the N+8.
