Aquafin is responsible for the development and management of the infrastructure for the purification of domestic waste water in Flanders. This infrastructure consists of a large collector system with more than 2,000 pumping stations and more than 300 sewage treatment plants. More than 400 technical meThe workers work from a team center somewhere in Flanders and manage and maintain various sewage treatment plants and pumping stations in their region. These teams are based at one of the sewage treatment sites. The administrative and other support services forThese operational teams are housed in one central head office (Campus) in Aartselaar and at three satellite offices in Ghent, Leuven and Herentals. The current concept of the access management system dates from 2004. Within the context of this assignment, Aquafin wishes to have a future-proof and centralimplement a legally managed access control system that is in accordance with the elements set out in the Topic Chapter. This solution must be easily adaptable to new processes, new techniques and functionality needs. The chosen procedure makes this possibleDuring negotiations, consider including the contractor's knowledge and expertise in the process and providing clarification where this proves necessary.
