Description:
The contract concerns the reconversion of an industrial site into a socio-cultural activity center as part of the “Compas” sustainable neighborhood contract. This involves redeveloping, via renovation and partial demolition-reconstruction operations, the part northwest of the former Desmedt printing works. The municipality of Anderlecht is the owner of the site and will operate a local infrastructure housing various municipal services and associations currently scattered throughout the municipality. The site includes a section of the future Sennette park. As part of this request, only the demolition of the existing building on this section is planned. The development of the park itself will be carried out by Bruxelles Environnement within the framework of the Urban Renovation Contract (CRU) 5. This works contract includes: - the demolition of buildings and annexes located on the route of the future Sennette park and between the main existing buildings preserved; - securing the house located on rue de Liverpool, called “building A”; - the renovation and transformation of industrial buildings kept inside the block into a facility of collective interest composed of: o a R+1 building on plot B150M32, including an underground car park, hereinafter referred to as “building B”; o a R+2 building on plot B150L31, called “building C”; o a volume which connects buildings B and C, called “building D”.
